I am not insane..

...well maybe I am just a little...lol I know that the Christmas season isn't even here yet. But here I am showing you guys all these great Christmas cards. Well, this is the time to start thinking about cards. Especially if you are going to make them. It takes planning... Besides, it is the next most popular card giving season. I promise in November that I will divert my attentions just a little. In the meantime, check out this super cute Christmas card made by my friends Terri and Faith. Again you will notice some non-traditional Christmas colors - which I LOVE!!

This is made with one of our new In-Colors Baja Blue, with a layer of Old Olive and Designer Paper. The Merry Christmas is stamped on some Silver card stock and some Versa Mark and Silver embossing powder. The Riding hood Red ribbon loop, adds just the right touch. I hope you like this idea as much as I do! Thanks to Faith and Terri for letting me get a snap shot.

In Love with Ribbon

I am IN LOVE with this ribbon. It is from the Holiday Mini and has been the inspiration for the Vincent's 2008 Holiday card. It is super simple, with some Ridinghood Red designer paper, the new stripped ribbon and the Hostess set Punches Three. The colors are Ridinghood Red and Vanilla!!! Love Love Love!!!

Colors of Christmas?

What are the colors of Christmas? Are they only green and red?

I love to use non-traditional colors in my Christmas cards. I made this card for a class this past week. The colors are Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose, Pink Pirouette and Whisper White. I used the Snow Swirled stamp set (Item 111690) along with some White Ribbon (secretly I wish I had the taffeta instead, but it still looks pretty). You may notice some hints of texture on the background of the Pretty in Pink card, these are snowflakes from the same set done in Versa Mark (giving it that watermark, tone on tone look). On the tree itself, I used the two-way glue pen to pick some swirls and adhere some Dazzling Diamonds.

I know it feels early to think about Christmas, but I find the Holiday's sneak up on me too quickly and I want to be prepared. Are you thinking about making your Christmas cards? What is the look you are going for? What colors do you love together?

If you are thinking about making your cards this year, but don't know where to start. Contact me to schedule some time and I will sit down with you to help you figure it out.

Simply Sent

Not sure what to buy for your favorite stamper or are you wanting to start stamping, but not sure where to start.

Stampin' Ups Simply Sent kits are the answer. These kits come with everything you need to make 10 cards. I mean everything! Stamp sets, ink, adhesive, envelopes and cut and scored card stock and accents and elements to give your cards that special touch.

The best part is that from Oct 4th to Oct 11th these kits are 20% off. Up to a $10.00 savings depending on the kit you choose. The kit comes in a really cute box and even comes with instructions which is great when you just can't decide the design you want to use. This is the kit that I just bought, and I can't wait to use it.
