Bag Pick up Day

One of the things that demonstrators look forward to at convention is Memento Mall. We can purchase some business builders like Designer Paper swatches and Stampin Up logo items like water bottles and shirts. They also look forward to receiving the Convention Bag. Every year we get a fun new bag that holds our free stamp sets. In this picture you can see the reversible tote bag.

So me and my fellow demonstrators went got to the Convention Center at about 9:00 AM. We got our bags and stood in line for about 2 hours to shop in Memento Mall.

We got into Memento mall and went crazy look at all of the fun stuff we could buy. You didn't even need your credit card, they have it on file for your convenience. Isn't that convenient? :O)

YAY Shopping! No, these are not all my bags...lol

I did some swapping today too... I will post some pictures of those another day. Tomorrow is the official start of Convention. Check back...

Convention - SWAPS!

So I am so excited about Convention this year. I have started packing in my mind. ;O) One thing that most people look forward to about convention is the Card Front Swaps. This is when demonstrators make just the card fronts and they bring them to convention to swap with other demonstrators. It is a great way to get new ideas and some displays for our boards.

People go crazy and it is so fun. I have no doubt that people will be swapping in the Terminal at TF Green waiting for our flight to depart. In the Hotel in the elevator is fun to - when you catch the eye of someone who finally identifies that YOU too are a demonstrator at convention. They may say softly do you want to Swap? Then the whole elevator will erupt with demonstrators saying Swap - Swap - anyone want to Swap.

Okay - so it doesn't take much to make me smile, but I really love this.

Last year I made 50 swaps and was done swapping by day 2. This year thanks to two of my friends (who also happen to be demonstrators) we were able to make 100 swaps for convention.

This year I did a bleaching technique, where you create an Ink Pad of bleach using papertowel and either a plate (or I used an empty stamp case). Take the stamp and "ink it up" using the bleach. Press it down on your card stock nice and firm without rocking and pick it up. You will see an amazing transformation before your eyes. Okay - honestly you need to test this technique out on different colors to see what you will get.

My card fronts are made using Medallion background stamp which I think is my new favorite. I stamped it on three different colors (Night of Navy, Lavender Lace and one of the new In Colors Bermuda Bay). This is what happened....

So cute - right???

Until next time - Stampers!

A Tree Grows in West Kingston, RI

As you know, Stampin' Up sells more than just Rubber Stamps and Paper Crafts supplies.

My friend Dana and I had a great time putting up these Decor Elements on the wall right outside her office.

This was the first time either one of us had done this. It took us about 2 hours - but it turned out great.

Welcome to the Inspiration Wing...

Now is the best time to schedule your Stampin' Up class...

If you have not hosted your own Stampin' Up class - you are missing out. I am sure we can all agree that we love to get all of our Girlfriends together. We typically meet for coffee, cocktails, maybe a movie. But there is nothing like getting together to do something you love like making cards or scrapbooking. You get to try out the latest products and learn new techniques.

Being creative with the people we love is so much fun. You can either copy my exact design or as they say on American Idol "make it your own".

Why is it the best time to schedule your own Stampin' Up class? Because the new Idea Book and catalog is coming out on July 1st and the Stampin Up Convention is in August. This means that I will have lots of new things to share with you - it also means that my schedule will fill up fast. So don't delay in booking your date and time with me.

What do you get as a Hostess?

When you host a qualifying class, you'll earn a Free products that are available only to Hostesses. You will also earn free money to put towards Stampin' Up product as well as a Free Idea book and Catalog.

Do you want to Host a class, but feel as though you don't have the space?

You can hostess the class at my house. I live in Cranston (right in the middle of the state) and can hold up to 9 people and would love to accommodate your friends. Let me do the cleaning and the class prep - you just need to provide the snacks, beverages and the friends!

There are several different types of classes offered - the most common is the Make 4 - where you and your friends will make 4 cards for $5.00. Scrapbooking and other project type classes are also offered, we would need to discuss what you had in mind to set the price.

At $5.00 per person this is an inexpensive night out for you and your friends. Contact me to schedule a class. stampingdanielle@yahoo.com
