Let It Grow On You
Our Growth Chart special offer is off to a great start! We’re excited to share with you some photos and tips from a few of the demonstrators that have been selling this new, limited-time Décor Elements piece and are sure they’ll help our Growth Chart “grow” on you and your customers too!

You Can Take It With You!
Mom and demonstrator, Anne Warman from Barrington, Illinois, has her house on the market, but that didn’t stop her from using the Growth Chart! Her husband trimmed and painted a piece of plywood to place the vinyl on so when they sell their house they can take the Growth Chart wherever they go!

Crushed Curry Creativity
Grandmother and demonstrator, Gail Beezley from San Antonio, Texas, recently bought a new (old) house with a separate studio. In true Stampin’ Up! style, she even painted the walls Crushed Curry! Gail says, “I fell in love with the Growth Chart and had to have it for my studio. I can’t wait until my granddaughter comes to visit so I can take a picture of her with it.”

This Idea Really Measures Up
Lisa Clark thought beyond the traditional use of the Growth Chart and created a ruler for her craft room. She cut out the ruler, then cut out the inch marks and adhered just the measurement marks to the edge of her counter. She then added the foot and half foot markers back in. Lisa uses this unobtrusive ruler to trim ribbon lengths, make quick measurements of scraps, visualize layouts, and more.

When asked about the other pieces of the Growth Chart that she didn’t use, she says, “I may use the tree and birds elsewhere in my craft room for fun.”

Remember, the Décor Elements Growth Chart is only available through September 30, so share this special offer today!

Convention - First Official Day

So today was our first official day of Convention. We started with General Session where 3000 demonstrators gathered to listen to learn more about this years theme (Inspire - Create - Share).

During the general session we learned about a new partnership that Stampin Up has with Build-a-Bear. We have stamp sets and Sizzix Die Cuts. You are all going to love these cute little bears.

As a special surprise Build-a-Bear created a Demonstrator Build-a-Bear that was available today at Memento Mall. She is super cute. Mine has a Razzleberry Bow and she comes with a stamp that says...Life without Stamps is Unbearable.. The one on the left is mine..

Tonight was awards night - and there were a bunch of amazing demonstrators - who won some amazing awards. It would be wonderful to walk across that stage one day.

Tomorrow is our make-n-take day - I will post more pictures then.

Bag Pick up Day

One of the things that demonstrators look forward to at convention is Memento Mall. We can purchase some business builders like Designer Paper swatches and Stampin Up logo items like water bottles and shirts. They also look forward to receiving the Convention Bag. Every year we get a fun new bag that holds our free stamp sets. In this picture you can see the reversible tote bag.

So me and my fellow demonstrators went got to the Convention Center at about 9:00 AM. We got our bags and stood in line for about 2 hours to shop in Memento Mall.

We got into Memento mall and went crazy look at all of the fun stuff we could buy. You didn't even need your credit card, they have it on file for your convenience. Isn't that convenient? :O)

YAY Shopping! No, these are not all my bags...lol

I did some swapping today too... I will post some pictures of those another day. Tomorrow is the official start of Convention. Check back...

Convention - SWAPS!

So I am so excited about Convention this year. I have started packing in my mind. ;O) One thing that most people look forward to about convention is the Card Front Swaps. This is when demonstrators make just the card fronts and they bring them to convention to swap with other demonstrators. It is a great way to get new ideas and some displays for our boards.

People go crazy and it is so fun. I have no doubt that people will be swapping in the Terminal at TF Green waiting for our flight to depart. In the Hotel in the elevator is fun to - when you catch the eye of someone who finally identifies that YOU too are a demonstrator at convention. They may say softly do you want to Swap? Then the whole elevator will erupt with demonstrators saying Swap - Swap - anyone want to Swap.

Okay - so it doesn't take much to make me smile, but I really love this.

Last year I made 50 swaps and was done swapping by day 2. This year thanks to two of my friends (who also happen to be demonstrators) we were able to make 100 swaps for convention.

This year I did a bleaching technique, where you create an Ink Pad of bleach using papertowel and either a plate (or I used an empty stamp case). Take the stamp and "ink it up" using the bleach. Press it down on your card stock nice and firm without rocking and pick it up. You will see an amazing transformation before your eyes. Okay - honestly you need to test this technique out on different colors to see what you will get.

My card fronts are made using Medallion background stamp which I think is my new favorite. I stamped it on three different colors (Night of Navy, Lavender Lace and one of the new In Colors Bermuda Bay). This is what happened....

So cute - right???

Until next time - Stampers!
