Handmade Christmas Cards

I love receiving Christmas Cards, but there is nothing like receiving a handmade card. They hold a special place in my heart and typically have a longer shelf life on my fridge. Here are some of the handmade Christmas Cards I received this year.

Important Info for all...

My upline sent this out to her customers and I felt it was great info that all of you might be interested in knowing.

This was taken from her December Newsletter...

"Some post holiday down time has enabled me to send off the last newsletter of the year with a few tidbits of information. The first pertains to the many stamp sets currently on our dormant list, which have been available for a year and now it is time to say goodbye. (In June it was communicated that these stamp sets would be available for another year, but since there has been very low demand for these sets, it's been decided to discontinue them earlier than expected.)

Therefore, the following stamp sets will be discontinued on January 4, 2010.

Item Number Stamp Set
113407 Back Woods
114492 Beautiful Baby
114486 Birthday Wish
113200 Branch Out

114032 Acuarelas Maravillosas

If any of these stamp sets are on your wish list , make sure to purchase them before they are gone for good! Remember the deadline is January 4th!

A second noteworthy piece of info is in regard to the little section at the back of old IB&C's that we'd grown to love which included the recipes, if you will, of stamp sets, cardstock and ink colors used to recreate the wonderful samples shown. This information has always been available to demonstrators, but little did I know that ALL customers can access the information. So I am thrilled to be able to bring it to your attention now so everyone can utilize this great resource! Start at the Stampin' Up! Website home page. Click on "Our Products" and then "2009 Catalogs". Lastly, click on "Download Stampin Supplies" under the 2009 IB&C, and voila, the page by page, project listing is at your fingertips! No more frantic guessing! "

My Digital Studio

Check out the really cute pages I created with Stampin' Up's My Digital Studio.

This is my kitty - he was pretty angry at me this day because he wanted to eat and I was taking pictures. That hat is a "stamped" image that I put on his head using My Digital Studio. I also added the background designer paper and the fancy edge design.

You can even add Hodgepodge Hardware like I did on this page.

I totally love this tool and have actually just sent my first project to be professionally printed. The great thing about this papercrafting software is that is uses SU artwork, designs and colors that we all know and love.

My Digital Studio is only $79.95 and can be purchased through my Stampin Up web site: http://stampingdanielle.stampinup.net

Décor Elements Growth Chart

$24.95

Let It Grow On You
Our Growth Chart special offer is off to a great start! We’re excited to share with you some photos and tips from a few of the demonstrators that have been selling this new, limited-time Décor Elements piece and are sure they’ll help our Growth Chart “grow” on you and your customers too!

You Can Take It With You!
Mom and demonstrator, Anne Warman from Barrington, Illinois, has her house on the market, but that didn’t stop her from using the Growth Chart! Her husband trimmed and painted a piece of plywood to place the vinyl on so when they sell their house they can take the Growth Chart wherever they go!

Crushed Curry Creativity
Grandmother and demonstrator, Gail Beezley from San Antonio, Texas, recently bought a new (old) house with a separate studio. In true Stampin’ Up! style, she even painted the walls Crushed Curry! Gail says, “I fell in love with the Growth Chart and had to have it for my studio. I can’t wait until my granddaughter comes to visit so I can take a picture of her with it.”

This Idea Really Measures Up
Lisa Clark thought beyond the traditional use of the Growth Chart and created a ruler for her craft room. She cut out the ruler, then cut out the inch marks and adhered just the measurement marks to the edge of her counter. She then added the foot and half foot markers back in. Lisa uses this unobtrusive ruler to trim ribbon lengths, make quick measurements of scraps, visualize layouts, and more.

When asked about the other pieces of the Growth Chart that she didn’t use, she says, “I may use the tree and birds elsewhere in my craft room for fun.”

Remember, the Décor Elements Growth Chart is only available through September 30, so share this special offer today!

Convention - First Official Day

So today was our first official day of Convention. We started with General Session where 3000 demonstrators gathered to listen to learn more about this years theme (Inspire - Create - Share).

During the general session we learned about a new partnership that Stampin Up has with Build-a-Bear. We have stamp sets and Sizzix Die Cuts. You are all going to love these cute little bears.

As a special surprise Build-a-Bear created a Demonstrator Build-a-Bear that was available today at Memento Mall. She is super cute. Mine has a Razzleberry Bow and she comes with a stamp that says...Life without Stamps is Unbearable.. The one on the left is mine..

Tonight was awards night - and there were a bunch of amazing demonstrators - who won some amazing awards. It would be wonderful to walk across that stage one day.

Tomorrow is our make-n-take day - I will post more pictures then.

Bag Pick up Day

One of the things that demonstrators look forward to at convention is Memento Mall. We can purchase some business builders like Designer Paper swatches and Stampin Up logo items like water bottles and shirts. They also look forward to receiving the Convention Bag. Every year we get a fun new bag that holds our free stamp sets. In this picture you can see the reversible tote bag.

So me and my fellow demonstrators went got to the Convention Center at about 9:00 AM. We got our bags and stood in line for about 2 hours to shop in Memento Mall.

We got into Memento mall and went crazy look at all of the fun stuff we could buy. You didn't even need your credit card, they have it on file for your convenience. Isn't that convenient? :O)

YAY Shopping! No, these are not all my bags...lol

I did some swapping today too... I will post some pictures of those another day. Tomorrow is the official start of Convention. Check back...

SU Convention - SLC!

Hey All,

Convention - SWAPS!

So I am so excited about Convention this year. I have started packing in my mind. ;O) One thing that most people look forward to about convention is the Card Front Swaps. This is when demonstrators make just the card fronts and they bring them to convention to swap with other demonstrators. It is a great way to get new ideas and some displays for our boards.

People go crazy and it is so fun. I have no doubt that people will be swapping in the Terminal at TF Green waiting for our flight to depart. In the Hotel in the elevator is fun to - when you catch the eye of someone who finally identifies that YOU too are a demonstrator at convention. They may say softly do you want to Swap? Then the whole elevator will erupt with demonstrators saying Swap - Swap - anyone want to Swap.

Okay - so it doesn't take much to make me smile, but I really love this.

Last year I made 50 swaps and was done swapping by day 2. This year thanks to two of my friends (who also happen to be demonstrators) we were able to make 100 swaps for convention.

This year I did a bleaching technique, where you create an Ink Pad of bleach using papertowel and either a plate (or I used an empty stamp case). Take the stamp and "ink it up" using the bleach. Press it down on your card stock nice and firm without rocking and pick it up. You will see an amazing transformation before your eyes. Okay - honestly you need to test this technique out on different colors to see what you will get.

My card fronts are made using Medallion background stamp which I think is my new favorite. I stamped it on three different colors (Night of Navy, Lavender Lace and one of the new In Colors Bermuda Bay). This is what happened....

So cute - right???

Until next time - Stampers!

A Tree Grows in West Kingston, RI

As you know, Stampin' Up sells more than just Rubber Stamps and Paper Crafts supplies.

My friend Dana and I had a great time putting up these Decor Elements on the wall right outside her office.

This was the first time either one of us had done this. It took us about 2 hours - but it turned out great.

Welcome to the Inspiration Wing...

This is of Stampin' Ups Decor Elements - Tree, Thoughts & Prayer (item 116004) and Direction of your Dreams (item 116077)

The text says - Go confidently in the direction of your dreams.

Our Décor Elements vinyl art makes decorating walls, mirrors, windows, and other smooth surfaces simple. Décor Elements makes your home or office a beautiful representation of your style. And it's more inexpensive than painting, framing art, or buying new furniture!

You'll love how Décor Elements images and techniques coordinate with our existing products, so spicing up your walls or creating other exciting projects for display using Décor Elements is an easy way to express your creativity.

Now is the best time to schedule your Stampin' Up class...

If you have not hosted your own Stampin' Up class - you are missing out. I am sure we can all agree that we love to get all of our Girlfriends together. We typically meet for coffee, cocktails, maybe a movie. But there is nothing like getting together to do something you love like making cards or scrapbooking. You get to try out the latest products and learn new techniques.

Being creative with the people we love is so much fun. You can either copy my exact design or as they say on American Idol "make it your own".

Why is it the best time to schedule your own Stampin' Up class? Because the new Idea Book and catalog is coming out on July 1st and the Stampin Up Convention is in August. This means that I will have lots of new things to share with you - it also means that my schedule will fill up fast. So don't delay in booking your date and time with me.

What do you get as a Hostess?

When you host a qualifying class, you'll earn a Free products that are available only to Hostesses. You will also earn free money to put towards Stampin' Up product as well as a Free Idea book and Catalog.

Do you want to Host a class, but feel as though you don't have the space?

You can hostess the class at my house. I live in Cranston (right in the middle of the state) and can hold up to 9 people and would love to accommodate your friends. Let me do the cleaning and the class prep - you just need to provide the snacks, beverages and the friends!

There are several different types of classes offered - the most common is the Make 4 - where you and your friends will make 4 cards for $5.00. Scrapbooking and other project type classes are also offered, we would need to discuss what you had in mind to set the price.

At $5.00 per person this is an inexpensive night out for you and your friends. Contact me to schedule a class. stampingdanielle@yahoo.com

Chicks and Chocolates and Jellybeans - OH MY!

WOW! It has been a long time since I posted. I hope that I can redeem myself with these three really cute projects that we made in my last class.

The first project is a Tiny Treat Basket I found this project on Splitcoast and knew that you would love it. The supplies used were:
* 5"x 5" piece of cardstock
* Additional cardstock for punches
* Four 2" x 1 1/2" pieces patterned paper
* Round Scallop Punch
* Circle Punch
* Cardstock strip for handle
* Adhesive
* Peppermint Patties

The next project is a Peek-a-boo Treat holder. I found this one on splitcoast also. Inside my treat holder I choose to use fun sized skittles packs instead of chocolate. The supplies used for this project were:
* 4 1/4" x 11" piece of cardstock
* Small treat
* Circle punch
* Adhesive
* Cardstock, stamps, ink and embellishments to decorate

The final project is a Jelly Bean holder. This project I copied from my friend Liz. We used the BigShot Top Note Die to cut the topper to the bag. The supplies used for this project were:
* 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of cardstock
* small slot punch
* Twill Ribbon
* Cardstock, Stamps, ink and embellishments to decorate

These projects are easy to make and have a big wow factor. I hope you enjoyed them as much as I did!

Thanks to my hubby for taking the pictures!

Orlando!

Hey All, I am back from Regionals. The weather in Orlando was beautiful and I had great time. I went to Epcot with another demonstrator. We went around the world and also took a ride on the Test Track ride.

Saturday was Regionals. It was held in the Orange County Conference Center (Go OC..LOL) This is a small group of us Adventure Stampers that attended.

We made a bunch of really cool projects (I will post them later this week). We used the BigShot for a couple of them.

I was able to talk to and get my picture taken with the Co-Founder of Stampin Up! She is really great and is really what makes Stampin Up what it is. She really cares about her employees, her demonstrators and her customers. You can tell by what she says and how she says it.

There are some great things coming up in the new catalog. I hope that you can all make my open house on January 18th from 11-1. See you there!!!
