My friend Dine...

Okay so I haven't opened the boxes yet. I really wanted to, but some things are more important than stamping. Yes I said it!!! One of those is friendship. My friend Nadine is home from Virgina and is leaving on Sunday. Last night was the only time I was going to have to see her, so I jumped at it. We went for coffee and desert and had a great talk. We always have a great talk. That is what best friends are all about. It might take you a few to get back into the swing, but once you do, it is like you just saw one another yesterday. I showed her some of the projects I have made and we actually took a video one of them. If I figure out how to post it, I will. Anyway, I will get these boxes open this weekend. Hopefully tonight!!!

Packages..

I got home last night and the man in brown had left me two nice sized boxes that said Stampin Up! Unfortunately, it was just about 10:30pm and I was exhausted....so, everything is still boxed. Tonight I will be unpacking and playing with all of my new toys! Check back tomorrow as I am sure there will be some pictures!!!

Is it 5:00 PM yet??? Darn only 1:30 PM :O(

20 Years

Where were you 20 years ago? Were you listening to "Push It" by Salt-n-pepe? Or were you watching Winona Ryder battle it out with Beetlejuice? I was just about to start my Senior year at Lincoln HS (okay - no one do the math..please..hee hee!!)

Well 20 years ago two sisters decided to Love what they do and Share what they love... and they started a company called Stampin Up...

The rest as they say is History! Now Stampin Up has moved beyond just rubber stamping and has begun to branch out more and more.. They now offer the Decor Elements which is very exciting. I can't wait to find out what they do next and I am so happy to be a part of it. Where were you 20 years ago? You may not remember exactly, but just think how far we have all come!!

Its been 1 year and 1 month

Its been 1 year and 1 month since I signed up to be a Stampin Up Demonstrator. I love stamping and felt as though I didn't make enough time to stamp. I was also looking for a way to meet new people who shared some of the same interests. Being a Stampin Up Demonstrator has done both of these things for me. Sure, the 20% discount on items I was probably going to buy anyway has been a great bonus. But becoming a demonstrator was more about the fellowship than anything else.

I now have a growing group of people that I have found to share more than just stamping with. They are slowly becoming my friends and the fact that they also like to stamp is just a bonus.

It is all about the details..

Mike and I just got new doors installed. We bought these doors back in the beginning of June and they only just got installed today. I will leave the name of the company out, but needless to say I am less than impressed.

I had to call them before I left for convention to find out why they had not called me to schedule the install. They said the doors had come in damaged and they had just received them so they could schedule the install now.

Hmmm...how convenient...

So we schedule them, I take the day out of work and they don't show up. I call them to find out that the "guy" (apparently there is only one) called in sick. So they schedule me for a Saturday which they never do - and I should be so happy they are fixing this for me. Well that would have been fine if when they showed up on Saturday to install my doors that they had the right doors. NOPE! They sent three guys to install 4 doors, only got 1 installed because the other three were the wrong ones.

They were so sorry and we will schedule this again for you... This reschedule was today. Today, they sent 1 guy to install 3 doors. He worked his butt off and I was so appreciative of his hard work and attention to detail. Less impressed with the sales guy - who clearly messed this whole thing up..or at least did not pay attention to details.

So remember in your day to day life - that it is all about the details. The most important detail is followup!
